Illidan (and Council) Down

So, after switching out our fire tanks for ones that didn't disconnect or vanish into the cold Canadian air (using one of my alts ftw), and after getting people to correctly target the demons going for the warlock tank and the main tank, we downed Illidan last night. With exactly one mage and one warlock present. Never let it be said we don't try to do everything the hard way.

Its been a long, strange trip. Of the original KSP members who started with us in ZG there are 4 left. And one them retired from WoW 2 minutes after Illidan died. Lots of people have come and gone, but somehow we've managed, in 2+ years of the lightest raid schedule on the planet, to build a solid core of players who I don't hate (much). By my count, since we start running on Gruul in April '07, we've missed somewhere around 4 months of raiding to vacations, raiding sabbaticals and the like. That we managed to keep it together when we'd go a month here or there without raiding to give ourselves a break, speaks volumes to the resiliency of our particular group of scoundrels.

Raiding in our guild isn't always easy. We aren't the typical guild. The amount of sexism, racism, protectionism, nepotism, blackmailism, necrophiliaism, narcolepsyism, and all the other isms I can't make up isn't easy to deal with. I'm proud of everyone for sticking it out. And that's saying a lot, because other than my cock (9 inches...around), I'm rarely proud of anything.

At last night's raid: Worriar, Ibex, Raindrop, Chaotix, Shotcolla, Toastz, Kils, Boosted, Rogerjinx (playing Liotoralens), Kimiyo, Drugstore, Ricekrispies, Phildo, Boostedsyty, Innania, Mooyo, Orkz, Spasm, Brattx, Rhunko, Steveo, Subzro, Priestkiller, Airofox, Clnteasthoof.

People who weren't there last night, but helped get us there: Yogui, Manic, Payday, Nukability, Sidine, Unbeefable, Tonybologna, Jaclynne, Raviss, Failstacio, Mokomitu, Chowda, Pigmaster and a few others I can't remember right now, probably because they weren't very important anyway.

RoS + Mother Down

Despite being known as the "hard boss" of BT, we got RoS down pretty quickly and if not for the poor timing of some pummels would've had it down even faster. Those warriors will remain nameless but their names rhyme with Roosted and Mayday. It also didn't help that a certain druid, whose name rhymes with Zogui, fucked up too.

Anyway, with the floating stone face out of the way, we turned our attention to the 4 armed whoremaster. Let me re-state once again that resist fights are just a horrible mechanic. Its a cheap gimmick thats more than worn out its welcome in WoW. Whatever, she's dead. 7 Down, 2 to go.

Gurtogg Down

So after just 11 total attempts we got Gurtogg down in short order. It took us longer to get everyone the same version of Omen. Anyway, in true KSP fashion, our first kill produced shit loot (druid loot...sigh).

The following portion of text is being paid for by Chaotix: Chaotix, our borderline retarded rogue, managed to do 14% of the damage on Gurtogg thanks to getting 2 Fel Rages. Chaotix is amazing. And wonderful. No, really.
